A flood of blue shirts will shower the campus tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 24, as Clarke College welcomes new students and their families to this year’s Welcome Weekend.
With assistance from Clarke student orientation staff, new students will move into their residence halls from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., rain or shine. Clarke College President Joanne M. Burrows, SC, Ph.D. and various other faculty and staff will also help students move-in during the morning hours.
Burrows will then officially welcome new students and their families to campus at 4 p.m. in the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center. Media are invited to cover these events. A complete schedule is available at www.clarke.edu/newstudents.
Returning students will move-in on Saturday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 26, beginning each day at 9 a.m. On Saturday afternoon, a farewell reception for parents will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Wahlert Atrium following a blessing of parents, family and friends before they return home.
