Noted Psychologist Dr. John Buri to Speak at Clarke, Oct. 11

The Clarke College Psychology Department will host a lecture by noted psychologist Dr. John Buri on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall on the Clarke campus. The lecture is free and the public is invited to attend.

An expert on family psychology, Buri will speak about a variety of relationship issues, some based on his recently published book, “How to Love Your Wife,” a marriage book designed for men.

Buri has published nearly 50 articles and research papers, many discussing the efficacy of various parenting practices. He is a professor of psychology at the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., where he has taught for 31 years. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Loras College and a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Loyola College in Chicago.
