Drama: Waiting for the Parade

The Clarke College Drama Department will present “Waiting for the Parade” from Thursday, Nov. 15, through Sunday, Nov. 18, in Terence Donaghoe Hall on the Clarke campus. Hailed by the Ottawa Citizen as “as small masterpiece,” John Murrell’s timely and touching play focuses on how five Canadian women are drawn together during World War II for the common purpose of working for the war effort, and more importantly, how they help each other survive the war while the men in their lives are off fighting.

Student cast members for the production include: Valerie Heitzman, of Dubuque, Iowa; Erin Kane, of Dubuque, Iowa; Brigid Kelley, of Davenport, Iowa; Abby Schultz, of Dubuque, Iowa; and Elizabeth Spoerl, of Sherrill, Iowa.

Clarke Assistant Professor of Drama/Speech Joseph Klinebriel is directing the show and Colin Muenster, of Davenport, Iowa, will serve as the assistant to the director and stage manager of the performance.
