The Clarke College Art Department is currently hosting “3-D Cubed,” a guest artist exhibit, in the College’s Quigley Gallery through Sunday, Nov. 18. A reception for the exhibit will be held on its closing day, Nov. 18, from 1-3 p.m. in the gallery. Admission to the exhibit and the reception is free and the public is invited to attend.
The exhibit features three-dimensional work by three art faculty members from Eastern Illinois College. Jeff Boshart, a professor of sculpture at EIU, holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in sculpture from Montana State College and a master of fine arts degree in sculpture from the College of Massachusetts. David Griffin, a professor of metalsmithing and jewelry design, holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Texas Tech College and a master fine of arts degree from the College of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Dwain Naragon, a professor of ceramics at EIU, holds a bachelor of arts degree in visual arts from the College of Wisconsin at Green Bay and a master of fine arts degree in ceramics from Arizona State College at Tempe.
The Quigley Gallery is open Monday through Friday from noon-5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. For more information, contact the Clarke College Marketing and Communication Office at (563)588-6318.
