Two Clarke College art faculty members and three students have been selected to have their art work featured in a juried art exhibit this spring.

Works by Clarke College Professor of Art Doug Schlesier and Assistant Professor of Art Jessie Rebik were selected for the 31st Annual Rock Island Fine Arts Exhibition, as were pieces by Clarke students Jenny Harms, of Bellevue, Iowa; Megan Swenson, of Blanchardville, Wis.; and Joe Turek, of Monroe, Wis.

The exhibit, co-sponsored by the Augustana College Art Museum and the Rock Island Art Guild, runs from through May 1 at the museum. Rebik’s submission received an honorable mention award and Turek’s received the award for best watercolor.

The juror of the exhibit was David Alan Robertson, the Ellen Philips Katz director of the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern College. The opening reception for this exhibit will be held Friday, April 11, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the museum.
