Nursing Honor Society

The purposes of Rho Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International are to 1) recognize superior achievement, 2) recognize the development of leadership qualities, 3) foster high professional standards, 4) encourage creative work, and 5) strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession. March 10, 2002, the Clarke University Nursing Honor Society, which inducted its first members April 23, 1996, received its charter as a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International. There are over 100 active members in the chapter.

By unanimous vote of the House of Delegates, Clarke University Honor Society of Nursing was approved to receive a charter in Sigma Theta Tau International. Clarke University nursing faculty presented the charter to the House of Delegates on behalf of the membership. The chartering ceremony will be held Sunday, March 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in Jansen Hall at Clarke University.
