The Clarke College Health Services Office will host a Wellness Fair on March 25 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Student Activity Center on the Clarke campus. This year’s event, “Partners in Health,” will emphasize stress reduction, relaxation techniques, massage therapy and nutrition. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
This fair is designed to encourage participants to be their own health advocates while offering an opportunity to learn more about prevention and the resources that are available from the Dubuque community. Several screenings will be provided by agencies, including blood pressure screenings and body mass index calculations.
“Being proactive with our health brings many benefits, such as increased energy, stamina and concentration, to name a few,” said Julie Burgmeier, Clarke’s director of health services. “Our goal is to highlight the many great resources both at Clarke and in the community to enable all of us to live more fully.”
Door prizes and gift certificates from Dubuque area sponsors and from Clarke offices will be awarded at the event.
