Clarke University has a network security device to help protect our network. As a result, you will be required to meet a minimum level of security on your computer before connecting to the Clarke network. To connect to the Student wired and wireless networks, you will be required to register your computer with the security device; you will also be required to have an up-to-date anti-virus software on your computer in order to pass registration. If you have no anti-virus installed, you will need to install an anti-virus program to pass the registration process. We recommend AVG Free Edition.
Registering your computer:
Find and connect to the wireless network called “Student.” Open a web browser and you should see the Welcome page. Click the option labeled, CLIENTS.
Enter your username and password (this is the same as your Clarke e-mail username and password). Download and run the program that pops up, Bradford Dissolvable Agent. In Windows 7 and Vista, you will need to click RUN again on the pop-up that comes up after you click RUN. Your computer will then be scanned for security compliance.
After the program is done scanning, you will see the Result screen. It takes up to two minutes for the configuration to complete. Upon completion, close the web browser and then reopen it. You should now be on the internet and running properly on the Clarke network. If not, then a restart of your computer may be required to complete the process.
