Crusader Card Terms and Conditions

  1. PARTICIPATION: The Clarke Crusader Card program is open to all Clarke University students, faculty, staff, and authorized guests.
  2. OWNERSHIP: The Clarke Crusader Card is the property of Clarke University. Clarke University reserves the right to revoke use of the card or any if its accounts at any time. This card is not transferable under any condition and cannot be used by another individual at any time. Improper use of your Crusader Card is subject to Clarke University disciplinary action and fraud charges. Cost for a replacement student Crusader Card is $5 and will be charged to the student's account.
  3. DEPOSITS: Account deposits can be made by cash, check, money order, MasterCard, Visa or Discover. Reload 24 hours a day online at or visit the student accounts office during business hours. Checks returned by the bank are subject to all check processes of the university.
  4. FINANCIAL CLEARANCE: First-year students have until one week after the start of classes and returning students have until two weeks after the start of classes to make payment arrangements with the student accounts office. Failure to do so may result in your Crusader Card being deactivated until arrangements are made.
  5. TRANSACTIONS AND RETURNS: All sales transactions charged to an account through the use of the Clarke Crusader Card are final at the point and time of the sale. If the item purchased with the Clarke Crusader Card is returnable, the cost will be credited to the declining balance account upon return.
  6. BALANCE: The balance of your Crusader Card declining balance account is available at the time of any transaction and online at or by special request at the student accounts office.
  7. LIABILITY: It is recommended that Crusader Cards are registered online at If the card is lost or stolen, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to go online to deactivate it. Clarke University assumes no responsibility for monies lost.
  8. REFUNDS: No cash withdrawals can be made with your card. A full refund of the remaining balance, less any financial obligations to the university, is available upon request, graduation or formal withdrawal from the university. Refunds will be processed by check within forty-five (45) days of separation from the university. Crusader funds provided as part of a university meal plan are not refundable for cash and expire at the conclusion of the academic year for which they are provided.
