The Clarke University Alumni-Student Mentor program is a collaborative group on Linkedin for students and alumni to connect and share career advice. The group is open to any Clarke students interested in being mentored by a Clarke graduate. All majors and backgrounds are encouraged to join. Students in the group will seek out alumni profiles that match career goals and interests and will connect primarily with alumni via email or Linkedin, however, meeting for lunch, job shadowing, skyping, and phone dialogue are also acceptable ways to connect. As a member of the Lindkedin group you are free to ask any career related questions deemed relevant. The program is ongoing as long as you are a member of the Linkedin group. The mentoring relationships are intended to:
- Be professional and positive
- Assist with the transition from the academic to the work world
- Offer the opportunity for professional development, networking, and exchanging ideas between you the student and experienced professionals.
