Campus ministry retreats encourage students to grow in the spiritual life. Some retreats occur over a weekend, others for just an afternoon or an evening. There is even a retreat designed around your schedule. If you have questions about any of these or suggestions for additional retreat options, please contact Sr. Amy Golm at x8192 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
Taking its name from the city where Jesus’ disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26), Antioch is a weekend retreat for traditional-age college students. This retreat creates time and space for the participant to experience God’s initiative in loving him/her, God’s deep desire for a personal relationship with each one. As participants witness, converse, pray, and celebrate sacraments together, the retreat is both an articulation of Christianity and an experience of it. Over the course of the weekend, participants come to a better understanding of what it means for a college student to be a disciple of Jesus in today’s world. Antioch is held in both fall and spring. Journey is a 24-hour reflective retreat for students who wish to take what happens on Antioch to a deeper, more personal level.
Busy Person's Retreat
Campus ministry is pleased to partner with representatives from the Dubuque Area Vocation Association to offer the Busy Person's Retreat. This retreat offers participants the chance to deepen their relationship with God and to balance many aspects of their lives. It is ideally suited for people whose daily lives may not permit a traditional retreat since it works itself into your schedule.
