ACES New Music Concert Features Clarke Ensembles

April 11 2016: The Advanced Chamber Ensembles (ACES) New Music Concert featuring several Clarke University musical ensembles will be held Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall. Admission is free and the public is invited.

The ACES New Music Concert includes performances by the Wind Ensemble, String Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, and CU*Jazz. There will be a new piano composition by Clarke junior Josh Harbaugh performed by Dr. Sharon Jensen. Also, the Wind Ensemble will perform an avant garde piece by composer John White entitled “Drinking and Hooting Machine.”  CU*Jazz performs a “Power Jump” by Clarke alum Tim Gelhaus and the Wind Ensemble performs David Resnick’s arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
