Concert Added to Homecoming Festivities

September 19, 2016: The Clarke Collegiate Singers, Cantabile and Clarke Winds will perform a concert on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. as part of the Homecoming activities. This new addition to the weekend festivities will be held in the Sacred Heart Chapel on Clarke’s campus.

Each chorus and band will showcase its talents through a variety of musical selections. The Collegiate Singers, Cantabile and the Clarke Winds have long traditions on the Clarke campus that alumni and the public will appreciate, said Jeremy Mims, associate professor and chair of the Clarke Music Department.

“The current students get the wonderful opportunity of connecting with the great legacy of music making that occurred on the Clarke campus for many years,” Mims said. “I always enjoy connecting with our alumni, getting to hear their Clarke stories.”

The event is free and open to the public.
