Sally Roy-Boynton is director of psychiatric services at Mercy Medical Center, in Dubuque. She is a certified nursing executive and a clinical specialist in adult psychiatric nursing. She also volunteers as a disaster mental health counselor for the American Red Cross and is active in the community by serving on several agency boards. Roy-Boynton holds a master of science in nursing degree from the University of Dubuque and a doctor of business administration degree from California Coast University. 

About the Lecture
The Danielle Pierce Memorial Lecture was established in memory of Clarke biology major Danielle Pierce, who suffered from manic depression.  Each year the lecture, which deals with the subject of depression or related topic, is funded by an allocation from the Clarke Student Association.
