The Clarke College Drama Department will present “Picnic” by William Inge, from Thursday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. in Terence Donaghoe Hall on the Clarke campus. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for students.
Winner of the 1953 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, William Inge’s passionate American classic explores small-town life, focusing on family relationships, the unpredictable pangs of love and desire, and exposing the restless truth behind the white picket fence facade shared by so many Americans.
Cast members for the production include: Melissa Dahle, of Watertown, SD; Valerie Heitzman, of Dubuque, Iowa; Erin Kane, of Dubuque, Iowa; Brigid Kelley, of Davenport, Iowa; Mike Link, of Sherrill, Iowa; Colin Muenster, of Davenport, Iowa; Emily Nelson, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Allison Padley, of Marion, Iowa; Brandon Running, of Eagan, Minn.; Abby Schultz, of Dubuque, Iowa; and Nick Westemeyer, of Moline, Ill.
Clarke Assistant Professor of Drama/Speech Joseph Klinebriel will direct the show and Padley will serve as the assistant to the director and stage manager of the performance.
