The opening performers have been announced for the May 2 performance on the Guster “Campus Consciousness Tour” at Clarke College. Griffin House, a singer songwriter from Ohio, and the band Sons of William will both open the show.
At 25 years old, Griffin House tirelessly writes lyrics and works out melodies on his Martin acoustic guitar. After appearing on the CBS Morning Show, his album “Lost & Found” went to number one on Amanzon.com. He is currently in the midst of a national tour.
Sons of William’s music is steeped in traditional rock and roll songwriting and simplicity. The band says they believe in paying respects to the masters, but not being hamstrung by convention. The band is currently touring with House.
The Clarke College Student Association (CSA) will host popular rock band Guster during the band’s environmentally focused “Campus Consciousness Tour” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, in the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center on the Clarke College campus.
Tickets for the concert are $20 and all seats are general admission. Tickets are now on sale on-line by clicking here, or at the Clarke College Whitlow Bookstore (563-588-6307), CDs 4 Change or Moondog Music in Dubuque.
