To be a business analyst you need to have a wide set of knowledge and skills. Understanding business acumen, thinking logically and strongly communicating your point of view are all critical.
At Clarke University I was able to learn these skills that I use on my job. As a demand forecast analyst, I need to understand financial goals, marketing strategies and team engagement. Clarke’s core business courses set me up to be successful in these categories and continue to learn on my job. The liberal arts education surrounding my area of study in business rounded out my education to give me perspective to think critically about situations. One of the skills that I am most grateful for learning at Clarke is the ability to communicate my point of view.
At the end of the day I have to effectively communicate my analysis, recommendations and decisions to drive smart business outcomes. My development started in the classroom, but some of my strongest growth transpired in the relationships developed and experiences had around campus.
