Heather Jones received her MSW from Loyola University Chicago and her Ph.D. in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Her post/pre-teaching practice has been in mental health, aging, elder abuse policy, group therapy, and disabilities. Her research was in the study of the role of social workers and older adult guardianship petitions. Her most recent research focused on the need for rural social workers. Heather is the policy committee chairperson for the National Rural Social Work Caucus and has been elected to serve as the president of the National Association of Social Workers – Iowa Chapter.
