Criminal Justice

Minor

Our minor in Criminal Justice is designed to prepare you to work in a variety of criminal justice settings and cultivate an appreciation for the complexities of justice, crime and corrections, and offer preparation for possible careers within the criminal justice system.

Program Details

You will complete 21 semester hours in the disciplines of sociology, criminology, law and crime and corrections. Suggested majors to pair with a Criminal Justice minor:

  • Investigations and Federal Agencies: Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Foreign Languages, Math, Nursing
  • Law: English, History, Philosophy
  • Corrections, Parole, Probation: Psychology, Social Work

It is strongly suggested that students also consider second language proficiency.

Admission to Clarke University

Minors help students acquire knowledge which supports their major and adds breadth to their education. Students generally obtain a minor by completing 21 semester hours in that field.
