Building the Field of Dreams

Spend an evening with President Thom D. Chesney and Clarke University alumna, Sue Riedel ’68 as she reflects on her role in helping to bring the Field of Dreams movie to Dyersville, IA. Sue will share the story of how she came to find the farm that would eventually become the iconic set where Kevin Costner played a final game of catch with his dad and captured the hearts and minds of baseball lovers across the nation. Current student, Tucker La Belle, joins the conversation to share how Sue’s grassroot efforts provided him with a once in a lifetime internship experience when the MLB brought the Yankee’s and White Sox to the field in August 2021.
