Grow in your Faith
The office of Campus Ministry, a component of the mind, body, spirit wellness that Clarke believes in, supports a student’s spiritual wellness through its mission:
Mission Statement: The office of Campus Ministry exists to walk with people in their faith journeys, wherever that is and whatever that looks like to them, as they mature in understanding, grow in practice, and begin to walk with others in their journeys.
Campus ministry fosters the spiritual life of each member of the community by building and empowering the community of faith through its ministry of presence and programming.
We provide a ministry of presence: 1) through our staff and student leaders who will support you in any way they can; 2) through our center where you can get snacks, drink coffee, rest, study, or just talk with someone; 3) and through its two quiet spaces on campus: a prayer/mediation room in the campus ministry center for anyone (open when the Kehl Center is open) and the Sacred Heart Chapel located next to the atrium (open when the atrium is open).
The Sacred Heart Chapel Schedule: The Chapel is open for everyone’s prayer or contemplation needs when the Atrium is open. Catholic Campus Mass is held on Sundays at 5 pm (music practice at 4 pm), on Wednesdays at 3:45 pm and on Thursdays at 11:45 pm during the week. Contact Hunter if you want to help with liturgical ministries (Lector, Altar Serving, Music, etc.) Midday Prayer is on Mon, Tues, and Fri from noon until 12:15 pm. Confession is on Wednesdays at 3 pm or by appointment (588-6631). A Holy Hour with adoration is on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 9 pm.
We also assists students, staff or faculty to find, connect and attend local faith communities.
Everyone is welcome in the campus ministry center and at our events. The creation of new programs and events by Clarke students, staff, and faculty is encouraged and will be supported however we can. To learn about many of our programs and events, please go to the Engaging Your Faith link.
