Clarke to Dedicate Gantz Plaza, Nov. 3
Clarke College will host a special blessing and dedication for “Gantz Plaza,” a newly completed outdoor beautification project on Clarke Drive, on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Wahlert Atrium on the Clarke campus. The dedication will also include a ribbon cutting by the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
The dedication is by invitation only, but media are welcome to cover the event. If you plan to attend, please contact the Clarke College Public Relations Office at (563)588-6318.
Through a gift from the Rosemary Gantz family of Dubuque, work was recently completed on the plaza, which includes new street lighting, decorative sidewalks and colored pavement. The project runs from Terence Donaghoe Hall to Mary Frances Hall on the Clarke campus.
“We are grateful to the Gantz family for the newly created Gantz Plaza, which makes the Clarke College campus glow brighter than ever,” said Clarke College President Catherine Dunn, BVM, Ph.D. “The plaza ties the exterior of each side of campus together and lets passers-by know that Clarke Drive is no ordinary street – it is a street occupied by a community of learners living the mission of Clarke.”
