Clarke University Announces Teach-Out Plan for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program
Clarke University has announced that the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program will be taught out through May 2028. This decision ensures that all currently enrolled students will have the opportunity to complete their degree at Clarke, provided they continue to meet program requirements.
“We are pleased to confirm that our current DNP students will be able to complete their studies and earn their degree through Clarke,” said Acting President Dr. Yvonne Zimmerman. “We sincerely appreciate the students, faculty, and staff for their role in making a teach-out plan possible, and in being strong advocates for themselves, one another, and the value of a Clarke education.”
The DNP degree program is one of 13 programs impacted by recently announced changes at the university. Work continues to provide all impacted students with individualized completion plans, as required by the university’s accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission. This may include teach-out options, dual enrollment courses from neighboring institutions, class exemptions, transfer agreements, and other pathways to see each student reach their goals.
“We are dedicated to supporting each student in this process, as well as the impacted faculty,” Zimmerman said. “The Clarke community has long rallied together in difficult times, and this is no exception. I thank everyone for their work and dedication to not only serve our students, but to support our colleagues through this transition.”
