Clarke Earns National Transfer Program Honors 5 Years Running

For the fifth year in a row, Clarke University has earned a place on Phi Theta Kappa’s annual Honor Roll. The national program recognizes excellence in developing and supporting dynamic, innovative pathways for community college transfer students. This year, Phi Theta Kappa has selected 251 colleges and universities for this prestigious recognition.
“We’re proud to see Clarke’s dedication to supporting transfer students earn this well-deserved recognition,” said Daija Bates, Clarke Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions. “Students from Phi Theta Kappa bring not only strong academic records, but also a passion for leadership, service, and community building. Their presence enhances our campus culture, and we remain committed to creating pathways that help them succeed and thrive here.”
Clarke was designated one of the most transfer-friendly universities in the country due to partnerships like our streamlined transfer process from any of Iowa’s 15 community colleges. Students transferring to Clarke as part of the PTK program are also eligible for a scholarship of $22,500, as well as other scholarships and awards.
PTK is a national organization that offers resources and scholarships to transfer students, with an emphasis on community college students making the move to a four-year institution. Honor Roll selections are based on a review of hundreds of schools and careful assessment of their admission and recruitment practices, articulation agreements, student support services, campus life, and more.
