Clarke Students Featured at Figge College Invitational
Clarke University is proud to announce that six students have been selected to exhibit at the Figge Art Museum’s College Invitational this fall in Davenport, Iowa. Clarke is one of just nine universities featured in the biennial exhibition, which runs October 10, 2026-January 17, 2027.
Axel Carlson, Chloe Grass, Haley Holzer, Abby Pierce, Alyssa Riedesel and Lydia Vanderbush are all seniors in the Studio Art program at Clarke. Their selected works represent a wide range of styles and techniques, including digital illustration, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, and more.
“The works chosen demonstrate the quality and diversity of the work that students create at Clarke,” said Professor of Art Louise Kames ’77. “This is the first time that Clarke has been invited to take part in the exhibition at the Figge Museum of Art. The Figge is an incredible museum, and this will be an impressive showcase for the student work.”
The Figge Art Museum is hosting a reception for the students at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, where awards for select works will be announced.
