Jensen, Cooper to Perform Duo-Piano Recital
Sharon Jensen and Elisa Cooper will perform a Duo-Piano Recital on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall on the Clarke University campus.
Jensen is currently an assistant professor of Music at Clarke University where she teaches piano, music history and keyboard skills. She has performed recitals and with orchestras throughout the Midwest, including the Quad Cities Mozart Festival Orchestra. In 2007 she made her solo debut with the Dubuque Symphony. In March 2010, Jensen made her debut at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and performed there for four consecutive years with flautist Peg Cornils Luke. She has also been heard on NPR’s , and Chicago’s In July 2016 she was a pianist for the Prague Choral Festival and performed as a duo-pianist with Jeremy Mims at Smetana Hall in the Czech Republic. Jensen performs regularly in the tri-state area as a soloist, collaborative musician and as pianist for the Dubuque Chorale.

The program includes Sonata for Two Pianos by Muzio Clementi; Symphonic Dance Op. 45 No. 1 by Sergei Rachmaninoff; Capriccio by Francis Poulenc; Suite No. 1 by Anton Arensky; and Recuerdos by William Bolcom.
