ACES and New Music Concert Set for Nov. 17 at Clarke

Clarke University will present the Advanced Chamber Ensembles (ACES) and New Music Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall. Admission is free.
This concert presents music by student and faculty composers along with featured performances by CU Jazz, the String Chamber Ensemble and the Woodwind Chamber Ensemble.
The Wind Ensemble will perform a piece by Samuel Hazo inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s painting, “Blue and Green Music” and a piece by Roland Barret inspired by the tragic events that occurred at Wounded Knee, South Dakota, in 1890: “Ghost Dances.”
