Transcontinental Piano Duo to Perform at Clarke
A Master Class will be Held Prior to Concert
Clarke University is pleased to announce that the Transcontinental Piano Duo is scheduled to perform on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall. The Transcontinental Piano Duo features two fabulously talented women, Elaine Greenfield and Janice Mayer Thompson. Since 1992, these professional performers and passionate teachers have been traveling the country entertaining and engaging audiences and students of all levels.
Prior to the concerts, a master class will be offered by the Duo. This will also take place in Jansen Music Hall, from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Jansen Music Hall is located inside the Wahlert Atrium on the Clarke University campus at 1550 Clarke Drive, Dubuque, Iowa. Admission to the concert is $5.
Elaine Greenfield and Janice Meyer Thompson have been noted for their, “great musicianship and versatility,” and “many moments of brilliance and excitement.” The master classes have been enthusiastically received by teachers and participants at the pre-college through graduate student level. The Transcontinental Piano Duo performance provides audiences with a rare opportunity to listen to truly great music.
The Transcontinental Piano Duo event is part of Clarke University’s Arts at Clarke series. Just as the university’s nationally recognized fine arts departments continually present the highest-quality performances and exhibits, Arts at Clarke features some of the world’s greatest performers from across the country.
