Clarke Student’s Work Displayed in Chicago

Clarke University junior Molly Haut, of Davenport, Iowa, currently has a piece of her work on display at the ninth annual Emerging Artist Exhibition at the morphoGallery in Chicago.“Dream Shine” will be on display through Jan. 23 at the gallery, 5216 N. Last year she had work exhibited at the ArtHaus Annual Emerging Artists’ Exhibit in Decorah, Iowa.“Dream Shine” is made from cast porcelain, doilies and fabric stiffener. It is a response to the following challenge: For this project, you will create a significant object to enshrine an intangible idea. Intangible ideas include: power, knowledge, sexuality, religion, destruction, etc. The object can be found or entirely modeled from clay.
