Profile
Marianne has worked with accessibility at the university level since 2007. In addition to assisting students and faculty with and accommodations and accessible technology, she has taught college study strategy courses and worked with individuals on effective reading, writing, time management, and study strategies.
Marianne is a member of two professional groups, the Iowa/Illinois chapter of Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (ILLOWA AHEAD) and Disabled Student Services in Higher Education (DSSHE), as well as the Access Text Network (ATN) and Bookshare, sources for digital textbooks for students.
Prior to working in higher education, Marianne was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana and an English Language & Literature and ELL instructor in Japan, Turkey, Colombia; she student taught in England and lived in Australia.
