‘Clarke Night’ at Dimensional Raises Funds for Student Essentials

By Clarke News  |  October 13, 2022

Update November 2, 2022: Unfortunately, Natascha Myers is unable to join us for Clarke Night, but the show must go on! Instead, local artist and alumnus Mark Zalaznik ’18 will perform a mix of country and rock music from 6-8 p.m. at Dimensional Brewing Company. Reminder, all tips from Clarke Night will help purchase essential items for incoming students!

On Thursday, November 3, Dimensional Brewing Company will host “Clarke Night” from 5-9 p.m. as a fundraiser for the Clarke University Student Emergency Relief Fund. The Clarke Admissions team will be serving as guest bartenders for the evening, with 100 percent of all tips going to purchase essentials for students in need.

“The admissions staff wants to help ensure new students start their college experience with their essential needs met, especially those living in the residence halls away from home,” said Julie Cirks, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “These funds will allow us some flexibility to assist with meeting immediate needs if something is forgotten or not thought of during packing and family is not around to assist.”

The event will also feature live music from singer/songwriter and Clarke alumna Natascha Myers ’17 form 6-8 p.m. Natascha is bringing the sounds of Nashville to Dubuque, including songs from her new album, End Game, which is available on Spotify. Earlier in the day, Natascha will treat the Clarke campus to a free concert in the Student Activity Center beginning at noon as part of the Arts@Clarke Lion’s Den Sessions.

During the event, attendees may also purchase 50/50 raffle tickets and baked goods to support the Student Emergency Relief Fund. This is also a family-friendly event, as Clarke students will provide child care in the Dimensional event center.

For those who are unable to attend but would still like to support the cause financially or by purchasing new products like laundry supplies, unopened bedding (extra-long sheets), desk supplies, and other essentials for students in need, please contact the Mackin Office of Institutional Advancement by email at development@clarke.edu or phone at (888) 225-2753 and they will be happy to assist you.
