Jack Maurer Memorial Golf Outing

In February of 2011 Clarke University alumnus Jack Maurer ’02 passed away in an accident while teaching in South Korea. During his time at Clarke, Jack was a member of the baseball team, worked on campus during the summer, and was a familiar face to many. Jack was a good teammate and a good friend. He will never be forgotten. In honor of Jack’s memory, a scholarship fund has been created to benefit future Clarke students.

Since being established in 2011, the Jack Maurer Memorial Scholarship Fund has raised a total of approximately $36,000. With the objective of reaching and maintaining endowed status, award amounts are based upon the account balance and vary on a yearly basis. To date, approximately $8,000 has been awarded to 15 student athletes. The scholarship fund has reached endowed status and the Jack Maurer Memorial Scholarship will continue into perpetuity.
