The Clarke University Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is dedicated to our Clarke values of justice, freedom, education, and charity. We condemn racism and the prejudice that led to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. We pray for the comfort of the family of George Floyd, may he rest in peace. At this time of national violence and unrest, we offer support to the Clarke community, especially, our students and employees of color. We are united as One Clarke, One Community, and share the University Pledge that is recited at Convocation and Graduation.
To reach for the star of faith in the
ultimate goodness of humankind;
To work toward a universal hope for
social, racial and economic justice;
To open our eyes and hearts,
in the Christian spirit of love,
to all those whose lives we may touch;
And to seek peace in all the world…
We pledge our lives.
