Campus Ministry
Grow in your Faith
The Office of Campus Ministry seeks to help students like you broaden their knowledge and faith through education, no matter what one’s faith background may be. Our offices are located in the Wellness Wing of Mary Josita Hall, allowing us to work alongside Health Services, Counseling, and more to care for your mind, body and spirit.
Campus Ministry at Clarke is rooted in the university’s Catholic identity and its BVM Core Values, while also welcoming and supporting people of all faith and spiritual beliefs.
Presence & Programming
While we strive to make our presence felt across campus, there are several dedicated spaces where you can connect with your faith. Students, faculty, and staff are always welcome in the Foley Lounge and the prayer/meditation room in Mary Josita Hall, as well as Sacred Heart Chapel.
While each person’s faith journey will look different, there are a range of activities we offer to support you in your exploration:
Small Groups: Student-led faith-sharing and Bible Study groups meet on campus weekly to delve deeper into their faith lives.
Half-Day of Service: Each fall, dozens of students go “Into the Streets” for a half-day of service in the greater Dubuque region, helping area non-profits with a variety of activities.
Retreats & Service Trips: Campus Ministry hosts a Winter Retreat for personal reflection, as well as a Spring service trip that allows students to experience life in some else’s shoes. Last year’s trip took students to Rutledge, Tennessee to help communities in need.
