Masterpiece on the Mississippi
Dubuque is Iowa’s oldest city and Clarke University has been an important part of our community since 1843. In all that time, we’ve learned a thing or two about providing an amazing college and community experience. You can go from hands-on learning in the classroom or with one of our community partners, to unwinding with your friends on the Riverwalk, enjoying dinner or a coffee downtown, or exploring one of Dubuque’s many hiking and biking trails. With so many opportunities at your fingertips, you’ll have to ask yourself – “Why Go Anywhere Else?”
A Community You Can Call Home
Did you know that 1 in 3 alumni choose to stay in Dubuque County after graduation? We welcome local students from right here in Dubuque as well as students from 41 states and 23 countries.
With fantastic internship, career, and community connections near and far, Clarke offers a network that supports you academically, socially, and beyond.
Whether you’re hitting the slopes at the nearby ski resorts or relaxing at the local coffee shop, there is something fun for everyone in Dubuque. Clarke also partners with local organizations to offer special discounts and events for students throughout the year.
