Homecoming 2023: September 29 – October 1

The Alumni Office is busy planning many opportunities to reconnect and build new memories during Homecoming Weekend! Our schedule is updated frequently, so we invite you to check again soon for more updates. Some event times and locations are subject to change. Signature Homecoming events are in bold. Events that require advance registration are hyperlinked below.

NEW THIS YEAR!!!

We invite you to purchase tickets and RSVP in advance with the HC VIP Package! Register for the Clarke Social at Houlihan’s, Alumni Recognition Breakfast, Alumni & Friends Tailgate, and Happy Hour at Dimensional with one convenient registration. The HC VIP Package has a registration fee of $30, offering you a savings of $10, and includes a Clarke belt bag to be picked up at the Alumni & Friends Tailgate. The HC VIP Package is available until September 22.  CLICK HERE to register for the HC VIP Package.

  • Haircuts & Headshots
    • Student Activity Center, 2-5 p.m.
    • The Office of Student Life is hosting a student/alumni networking event! This gathering is an opportunity for current students to get their hair cut by “the campus barber,” Darius Hernandez ’22 and a professional headshot taken by Sean Cesar ’23. Alumni are encouraged to attend to socialize and network with current students.
  • Golden+ Celebration Dinner honoring the Class of 1973
    • Where: Wahlert Atrium
    • When: Cocktails at 4:30pm. Program begins at 5:30pm with dinner to follow
    • Cost: Complimentary to all members of the Class of 1973 and their guest. Also open and complimentary for prior Golden Reunion classes and their guest. Registration is requested in advance by clicking link in event name.
  • Mississippi River Happy Hour Cruise aboard The American Lady
    • Where: Dock behind Catfish Charlies – 1630 E 16th St, Dubuque, IA 52001
    • When: Boarding begins at 5:10pm. Boat departs promptly at 5:30pm
    • Cost: $25 –Only 75 tickets are available for purchase! Cost includes cruise, boat provided appetizer, tap beer and drink specials. This event is not included as part of the HC VIP Package. Must register in advance by clicking link in event name.
  • Clarke Pride Soccer vs. Benedictine
    • Burrows Field, Women’s 6pm, Men’s 7:30pm
  • Clarke Social on the patio at Houlihan’s
  • Alumni Baseball Game

    • This showcase will feature some of the most recent works of Troy Aiken, Assistant Professor of Art. Pieces will include a collection of new sculptural ceramic vessel forms. The show will focus on experimentation and exploration of forms as well as experimentation with different surface textures and color.
  • Clarke Music Department presents: Keys of Excellence
    • Jansen Music Hall, 3:00pm
    • Join Clarke students, faculty, alumni, and musicians from throughout Dubuque in a heartwarming Homecoming celebration for all! This FREE piano concert will range from jazz, classics, and Disney favorites to stunning modern duets.

  • Class of 1973 Trolley Tour
    • Where: Pick up in front of Clarke Atrium. Dubuque Trolleys will provide a guided tour with a local historian through Dubuque. Riders will visit familiar places like Eagle Point Park and will also see parts of Dubuque that have changed quite a bit since 1973.
    • When: 4:15-6:15pm
    • Cost: Reserve your seat for $20 by clicking the link above. Space on the trolley is limited to 30 guests.
    • Please note: This special event has been organized by class representatives and is reserved for members of the Class of 1973 only. 
  • Clarke Athletics Hall of Fame
    • Jansen Music Hall, 5:00pm
  • Alumni & Friends Happy Hour at Dimensional Brewery
    • Where: 67 Main Street, Dubuque, IA 52001
    • When: 6-8pm. Guests are welcome to stay as late as you wish! Drink tickets provided to attendees until 8pm.
    • Cost: Register in advance with the HC VIP Package or pay $10 at the door. Includes two drink tickets.
  • Class of 1998 Silver Reunion Celebration at Backpocket Brewery
    • Where: 333 E. 10th Street, Dubuque, IA 52001
    • When: 6-9pm
    • Cost: Complimentary to all members of the Class of 1998 and their guest. Registration is requested in advance by clicking the link above. Food and two drinks are sponsored by the Alumni Office.
