Clarke Expands Scholarships for Veterans Through Yellow Ribbon Program

By Clarke News  |  July 27, 2022

Clarke University is proud to have been designated as a member of the Yellow Ribbon Program through the Department of Veterans Affairs. The program helps ensure that veterans, as well as their spouses and family members have the information, support, and protections they deserve while pursuing their educational goals.

As part of its designation, Clarke has increased its current Yellow Ribbon scholarship to $5,000 and made the award available to veterans and military families enrolling in an undergraduate or master’s degree program.

“Yellow Ribbon has been a staple financial aid offering for many years at Clarke, but this expanded offering better showcases our appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our veterans,” said Julie Cirks, Vice President for Enrollment Management.

We understand the desire for many veterans to find a career path that requires additional education, and we want to help make that desire a reality with a smooth transition back into the classroom.

Yellow Ribbon awards are just one of many services we provide to veterans and military families that enroll at Clarke, including additional scholarship funds, flexible military leave, transfer of military credits, and more. Clarke is also a proud recipient of the “Military Friendly School” designation by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
