Clarke Invites Community to Homecoming Celebration

Clarke University will celebrate its annual Homecoming from September 23-25 with a full slate of activities for alumni, students and friends. The university welcomes friends from the Dubuque community to a number of public events:

On Saturday, the Clarke Organization of Student Physical Therapists (COSPT) will host its annual 5K Fun Run/Walk. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Cost is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the race. To register, contact the Clarke University Physical Therapy Department at (563)588-6382.

Later in the day, an alumni tent party and festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on “The Hill” in conjunction with women’s and men’s Crusader soccer games against Waldorf College beginning at 1 and 3 p.m.  The festival will include inflatable games for children and an appearance by Clarke’s mascot Cutlass T. Crusader.

An student and alumni art sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the university’s Atrium Conference Room and a there will be special Mass at 5:30 p.m. in Clarke’s Sacred Heart Chapel, including a ceremony of remembrance for deceased Clarke alumni.
