Dubuque College Visit Week to Highlight Diverse Opportunities in Higher Education

Dubuque has a rich history with deep ties to education. In August, the city’s five colleges will partner to highlight the diverse opportunities in higher education available for students during the first Dubuque College Visit Week from Monday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Aug. 6, 2021.
Clarke University, Emmaus Bible College, Loras College, Northeast Iowa Community College, and the University of Dubuque are excited to welcome high school students back to campus with in-person visits during Dubuque College Visit Week. Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour campuses with student ambassadors, meet with professors about their academic area of interest, learn about student activities and programs, meet with admission counselors, and more.
The COVID-19 pandemic put college plans on hold for many students and their families. Dubuque College Visit Week allows those students to explore the opportunities that have been waiting for them. A week of events highlighting Dubuque area colleges and universities gives students a sense of all the possibilities for personal and professional growth that are part of the college experience. From information on courses and majors, to insights to the student experience and community involvement, Dubuque College Visit Week empowers students to find the school that is right for them.
Visitors are welcomed to tour any number of the five colleges to discover the educational experiences available to them. Please follow www.dbqcollegevisit.com to schedule a visit during Dubuque College Visit Week.
